The sacred month of Rajab completed 29 days. The first day of Shabaan corresponds with Tuesday, the 20th of January , 2026 CE.
Monday night in Central New Jersey was very clear. However, there was no report of a sighting in New Jersey. The Hilal was sighted ok the evening of January 19th, 2026, in Atlanta, Georgia, Houston, Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada, Blacksburg, Virginia, Tampa, Florida and Santa Cruz, California. With these sightings in the Continental United States, it is clear that the first day of Shabaan 1447 AH corresponds with the January 20th, 2026.
اللهم بارك لنا في رجب و شعبان و بلغنا رمضان!
Oh Allah, make Rajab and Sha’baan a blessing for us and let us reach Ramadan safely!
May Allah bless your Shabaan and make it a month in which you prepare yourselves for the blessed month of Ramadan. Increase in istighfar (seeking forgiveness), good deeds and character, self reflection, supplications to Allah, voluntary fasts and increased attachment to the Qur’an! May your deeds be magnified this sacred month and may your scale of good deeds weigh heavy!
