The 16th of June, 2026 CE will correspond with the first day of Muharram 1448 AH. The Hilal was sighted in multiple locations throughout the United States of America. It was sighted in New Jersey, New York City, m, California and in many other states and cities.
The day of Ashura will correspond with June 25th, 2026. It is recommended to fast throughout the month of Muharram but especially on the day of Ashura coupled with fasting on the day before or the day after.
