الصلاة و سلام على سيدنا محمد و على آله و صحبه

This evening, the 24th of August, 2025 corresponds to the 01 of Rabi Al Awwal. The day of the 24th of August, 2025 corresponded with the 30th of Safar. On the evening of the 23rd of August, 2025, the Hilal was not sighted anywhere in the Western Hemisphere. On this night, we went out to search for the Hilal, however, due to clouds and the hilal’s closeness to the sun, we did not witness its appearance. Nevertheless, as the month of Safar has completed 30 days, the first day of Rabi’ Al Awwal will correspond with 25th August, 2025 CE.

This is truly a blessed month. It is the month in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was born. It is also the month in which he ﷺ undertook the hijrah to Yathrib which would become Madinatun Nabi, Madinatul Munawwarah, the blessed city of Taybah. It is also the month in which the blessed Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away. This is a time to remember the Messenger of Allah and to renew our commitment to the Cause of Allah. May Allah bless your First Spring, which is the translation of “Rabi’ Al Awwal”.
