How it all started
The concept of The House of Green Islamic Foundation came about after the passings of our Grandmother Mary and our Aunt Deborah in 2021. Shortly after their passing, several family members embraced Islam or returned to practice and sought further education.
Our story
Prior to 2021, family sessions of remembrance and recitations of Quran were being done during the COVID 19 Pandemic. The events were centered around Ramadan as an event of dhikr (remembrance) before the breaking of the fast. This was followed up by planned Eid events in which family members gathered to pray the Eid prayers and also perform Udhiyah together as well as Hilal (moon sighting) events to spread the awareness of the Hijri months.
Our approach
Our approach is to provide sound and practical Islamic knowledge to the family as well establish consistent events in which the family can gather for Islamic events and to establish family ties. Our vision is to establish family Hajj and Umrah events for the family as well as provide matrimonial and janazah services for family members as needed.

“Practical and Sound Islamic Knowledge to increase Islamic awareness and knowledge in the family.”
