The Hajj pilgrimage will officially begin on June 14th, 2024 (Corresponding with the 8th day of Dhul Hijjah in Saudi Arabia). The hujjaj (pilgrims) will make their way from the entrance points from the various routes to Makkah al Mukarramah in the state of ihram and enter into the tents of Mina.

The Hujaaj at the tents of Mina. Once there, they will complete their normal acts of worship.
On the next day (the 9th of Dhul Hijjah in that region) after the sunrise, the pilgrims will make their way to the plains and mount of Arafat where they will spend the day seeking forgiveness and pardon from their Most Gracious and Exalted Lord.

On that day, there will also be khutbah address on Mount Arafat given for the pilgrims.
At sunset, they will continue to Muzdalifah to rest, worship and collect the pebbles that will be used to stone the jamaraat (stone pillars).

The night will spend with the sky as the canopy instead of a tent or a building.
On the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, the hujjah will perform their sacrifice of an animal (hady) and begin the stoning of the jamaraat which will continue for three days.

After the hady, the male pilgrims will shave their heads, as well as perform tawaf and sa’i in Masjid Al Haram.

The last day of stoning the jamaraat is on the 12th day of Dhul Hijjah. The hajj is then completed with a final tawaf around the Ka’bah.
For those not performing Hajj, the ninth and tenth of Dhul Hijjah may or may not correspond with the ninth and tenth of Dhul Hijjah of the pilgrims. It is recommended that the Muslims fast on the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah, the day of Arafat (corresponding with when you started the month) and then proceed to celebrate the Eid Al Adha on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah. While the pilgrims are continuing their worship, Muslims back at their respective homes must remember that Dhul Hijjah is a sacred month. The rewards for worship and good deeds in this month are multiplied. While they may not be participating in the sacred rituals of Hajj, there is still much to be gained by fasting on the day of Arafat and praying and sacrificing on the day of Eid. This is a time to draw near to our Lord in worship and reverence. This is a time to build off of the spiritual foundations of Ramadan and worship your Lord even more! The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are the best days of the year and worship in these ten days are most beloved to Allah. Take advantage of this time to draw near to Allah. Avoid argumentation and frivolity. Protect yourselves from the whisperings of the devil towards neglect and vice. Hold onto the trustworthy handhold and keep your eyes on the prize.
